| Reinstating the loan. The amount is set by state law to include all of the back and current payments now due, any foreclosure procedure, other expenses and reasonable attorney fees incurred to preserve and protect the lender's interest in the property, and a recording fee for the notice of cancellation of the sale. The deadline to reinstate your loan is set by law at 5:00 p.m. on the last business day before the sale date. Payoff Quote: You can also stop a foreclosure sale by paying the full amount owed on the loan. Note: It usually takes 3 to 4 business days after we receive your request to obtain all the necessary information and send you a written quote of the figures you requested.
